MAKING SURE EVERYTHING WORKS SMOOTHLY

At ZINC Research we are very confident in the quality,
reliability and robustness of our Onsite products. Everything
is tested thoroughly before it is shipped to any of our clients.
However, to ensure that things work smoothly and we protect
our investment, all ZINC Onsite clients are required to sign
our Product Usage Agreement.

PRODUCT USAGE AGREEMENT

The following are the key elements of our Product Usage
Agreement:
- Clients are required to pay 50% of any ZINC Onsite product
up front. No units will be shipped nor programming uploaded
until such a payment is received. The balance is due upon
delivery of final data set or report (as appropriate).
- Clients will be required to sign off on our project quote.
This will be recognized as a formal contract between ZINC
Research and our client.
- ZINC Research’s quotes are firm, and based on mutual understanding
of a project’s scope and undertaking. Any modification to
this, clients will be informed of any changes and will be
required to confirm any such changes, and a specific project's
budget will be modified accordingly.
- Clients can only use the PDA units and licences for the
specified timeframe. Any longer, additional rental charges
will be charged on a per week rate.
- ZINC Research will pay for packaging and shipping our
PDA product to any client in North America. Clients are
required to package and ship our PDA product back to ZINC
offices in similar quality packaging and condition they
received them.
- Should any PDA unit be damaged or stolen by a client,
they will be required to pay 1.5 times its retail replacement
value.
- Should any PDA unit’s stylus be damaged or stolen by a
client, they will be required to pay 1.5 times its retail
replacement value.
- Should any SD Media Card be damaged or stolen by a client,
they will be required to pay 1.5 times its retail replacement
value.
- If there is any catastrophic data loss due to an error
by ZINC Research, we will work to resolve this to obtain
the data again as best as possible and, as required, refund
clients the cost of this research undertaking.
- If there is any catastrophic data loss due to an error
by our client, ZINC Research assumes no liability for this
loss, and no responsibility for any breaches of any appropriate
privacy legislation. Clients will be required to pay for
any damages to or loss of any of ZINC Products.
- Clients will receive a pdf version of the programmed questionnaire
and screen-shots for their final review. They are allowed
one (1) round of revisions. Any major revisions beyond this
first round, at a client’s discretion, will be charged on
an hourly basis.
- For supplier services, we assume that any survey or interview
guide is the FINAL version. If there are any changes, revisions
or consulting required, we will advise our clients accordingly
before any work is undertaken. If they request that we make
any revisions, clients will be charged for those revisions
on an hourly basis.
- Only projects using the Entryware™ Server will be able
to receive marginal datasets/reports. Over the course of
a project, unless stated explicitly stated in the contract,
clients can request one set of marginals. Any more than
one (1) will result in an additional charge.
- ZINC Research treats its clients with respect, and we
expect that this relationship will be mutual. Any abusive
behaviour will NOT be tolerated and result in the immediate
termination of that project contract.
- Should any situation arise where ZINC Research enters
into a potential conflict of interest, clients will be informed
accordingly and the project reassessed.
